Serving pilgrims in Lanark and Renfrew Counties

Events

The Valley Camino Chapter provides :

  • information events related to Camino walking (see events page)
  • online links (see Resources Page)
  • regular informal training walks on Valley trails (See Walks page)
  • social events for pilgrims and those preparing their own camino.
  • one-on-one advice and support from experienced pilgrim walkers in your area (see Contacts Page)

The Valley Camino Chapter provides regular information events in the form of:

  • Slide Show Talks – these are usually evening events at a community library. They are always lead by at least one of the coordinators
  • Social Events – these are lunches or dinners with a guest speaker, offered in a local restaurant. Details will be shown on our blog page
  • Pole Use Training – these are half day training sessions to introduce or improve your skills with walking poles. These are lead by a certified instructor

We hold regular walks for those who are training or enjoy extended walks.

We always offer an post-walk brunch, at peregrino prices, where you can meet with others and talk-the-walk. Where possible we can share rides – contact Ray about this.

Other regional chapters, (Ottawa, Kingston and others) offer other events and these can sometimes include specialty international speakers. Check their sites online.
